As some of you may know, I have a strange fascination with the Capybara. I dreamed about one once. I told my sister about dreaming about a capybara and she was like, what is a capybara? so I told her. There's one at the Saint Louis Zoo. A few days after that someone at her job was talking about them. It was a little bizzare.

When I was reading last night and got to the part where the capybara was mentioned, I almost woke up the other people in the house to tell them. but as they both had to get up fairly early the next day I thought it might be better if I just waited until later.

So I had to record an out of office message on my voice mail today. As I was listening to the playback, I realized that I don't sound a thing like my sisters. I think two of my sisters sound very similar in their talking. Not all the time, and I can tell them apart on the phone, but certing things, they sound exactly alike. I don't think my voice even remotely resembles theirs.

hmm...

so, I took some money out of the ATM this morning. Then decided I should probably reconcile my checkbook before the weekend (during which I have a feeling I'll be spending quite a bit of money). I paid up all my current bills...well, except for the couple sitting at home that I have to actually write a check for. and I was looking at the left over amount and was like "wow. I have so much money these days." Then I realized, I haven't been paying rent, so of course I have money.

I would feel bad about not paying rent, but I'm beginning to view it as combat pay. The cat is totally getting on my nerves. I was watching tv on the sofa last night and ended up using the pillows to build a wall around me so she'd leave me alone.

I know I know y'all are thinking she just wanted some lovin'. and that may be true. But if she didn't need to be right in my face, literally nose to nose, I may take it a little better. And if she didn't feel the need to dig her claws into you when she sits on your lap. She won't let anyone cut her nails so they are very talon like. It's bad enough that I have to either listen to her whine for the 20 minutes it takes me to get dressed in the morning or trip all over her if I let her in the bedroom, not even mentioning the fact that if she's in the room I have to beware of having her jump on me.

And, with all three cats, if my other roommate starts petting them, the cat being petted will start coming over toward me. WHILE THEY ARE BEING PETTED!! She's the one being nice to them, why are they coming over to me?!

Anyway, I think having to put up with the cats, take them to the vet, pay for the vet visit, make sure all the bills are paid, make sure the car goes in for emmisions checks, and pay for that....in the end, it all works out.
