some days things happen that you wish you could just ignore. but they remain just the same.
Yesterday went out to do some Christmas shopping. The only thing I ended up purchasing was something for me. Finally came home and decided to check my email. got one from my grandma. she found out she has cancer and will be undergoing surgery after the first of the year.

I too went Christmas shopping on Saturday and I bought myself a new coat. Is that selfish or what?!

Maura - No, different Grandma, but actually I've probably spent more time with this grandma than the one you know.
Max- if it makes you feel better I bought myself a ring on Saturday and then a sweater and 2 tank tops on Sunday! So, you're definately not as bad as me. (but I couldn't pass up the ring it was kind of a one time opportunity, and then the sweater was on sale and I needed more clothes for work.)
