I am a horrible, horrible person

It's just so freakin' annoying. he doesn't do anything around the house. he's old enough to, but just plain doesn't. Doesn't lock the door to the house (heck, today, apparently didn't even shut the front door all the way!) doesn't do his dishes. Has started the dishwasher once, maybe twice since he moved in, in May. He unloaded it one day. But not all the way. left half of the dishes on the counter, which fine, some of them he may not have known where they went, because they were actually going home with my mom and nephew, but the other freakin' dishes he uses!!

I don't think he has ever taken out the trash, although maybe he did...once or twice since May. Never takes the trash or recycle down to the curb. Doesn't even bring them back up to the house when they're empty. in fact he didn't even bring them back to the house when my sister and I were gone for a weekend, and now we are short a trash can. Although, I suppose you could say it was our fault, I mean we didn't ask him to do it. we just assumed since every Thursday is trash day, that he'd know that they would have to come back up. Silly us! Whatever were we thinking? But then again on the other hand, he was told as part of his rent that he was supposed to feed the cats and change their litter box twice a week. Has yet to change the litter box at all, and has quit feeding them since my sister and I took over when we went down one day and the cats had NO FOOD!!! they are given went food once or twice a day, and their dry food is topped off. They never go through their dry food. and we only top it off like every other day. They were completely out of FOOD!!! to which I'm sure you're asking why didn't we notice. good question. well, the cats (and the roommate) are in the basement. I really have no need to be in the basement on a daily basis. In fact wasn't going down there but about once a week to do my laundry. The roommate walks right by the cat food at least twice a day. once on the way to the toilet and once on his way back from the toilet. TWICE A FRIGGIN DAY!!! And you can't freakin' notice that cats have NO FOOD!!!!! And put things back where you got them from. he borrowed the iron but left it in the pit he calls a room in the basement. it's scary down there. there's like not one visible section of floor. which would be fine because that's his room (not that he's paid any rent for it) but then don't leave things down there that other people will need!

I'm just so pissed and stressed. I know I need to say something, but I can't come up with a nice way to say "you're a friggin' moron! please use the money that you aren't using to pay the 3 months of rent you owe, to buy yourself a friggin clue!" And quit asking what my plans are for the day. You want to know what my plans are? they're to be as far away from you as I can possibly get. and no not all girls spend hours buying shoes. i went to get shoes that my sis requested I send to her in Afghanastan. you know the sister that was too nice to kick you out for not paying rent before she left!

And that's another thing. he's totally hijacked her car. she left it. and she told me that I could use it if M and I ever wanted to take some weekend trips or something. but bozo has now been using it as if it's his car. which might no concern me so much if I thought that he'd take care of it. you know like getting the oil changed. and he leaves his crap everywhere. he has 4 t shirts outside that have been out there for at least 2 months, if not longer. I think they were there before my sis and I took off for Boston at the beginning of June.

I'm just so annoyed, and it pisses me off, because I was working on being happier, but now I hate coming home because he's here. and then I'm all frustrated, and it's just a never ending cycle. and I'd say something to him, but I know it won't make a difference. I just want to scream. in fact I did the other day in my car. I feel bad for my sis who had to hear it.

I know I'm a mean horrible person. I'm trying to be better, but it's not working!!

visit to visit

so, I finished up my last job and then headed off to Ohio. Had a pretty good time. faced the fact that life's not fair. knew it, but it's still rough to face it head on. Came back, tried to get my sister to deploy, but she came back. She did leave on Thursday. I started the new job on Thursday. It was pretty good. intense. still have a week of training. so far it's just been general training. haven't started training on my actual work yet.

saturday went shopping and spent a LOT of money. way too much. later that evening found out I'll be having company next weekend. My mom and nephew are supposed to be coming out. i'll be a quick visit, thursday to tuesday, but should be fun.

prime time

growing up in the midwest gives one a different perspective on life than the rest of the world. Life is based on the life of the farmer. Up at dawn, bed when it's dark. Not like here on the east coast. everything happens later. "Prime Time" is not so prime for me (or my sis). TV shows just come on too late here.

We were talking about when "prime time" starts in Mountain Time Zone. East coast it's 8 pm. Central is 7 pm. Mountain ??? Pacific is 8 pm.

oh my goodness

what a day, what a day.

so it's my last day at this job. and what a day it has been. just spent about an hour and half in a meeting. a meeting about the future of the organization. hahaha. well, actually the first part was to let the team know that the project manager was let go. which actually is sad. and then this guy from corporate talked about what's going to happen. part of me wondered if I should say "hey, this doesn't really affect me, should I go back out to cover the phones?" but part of me didn't know if everyone knew I am leaving.

turns out that they did know. and hey, if they want me sitting there and not answering the phones, I'm alright with that. and apparently someone kind of let the proverbial cat out of the proverbial bag earlier today anyway. there is one government employee that sits with the rest of the contract people, and this one contract person said something within the government person's hearing. oops. oh well. they'd figure it out sooner or later anyway.

the contract person apologized to me about it. I'm like, what do I care. it wasn't my choice to keep it secret. I didn't actually say that. just that it was fine. all in all though it has turned out kind of...interesting. I have to do another exit interview. so that'll be fun and exciting. lol.

so, the meeting took place during lunch. we started about noon finished around 1:30. then the rest of the team went to lunch (I was asked if I minded staying to watch the phones, which I don't. I don't have any cash anyway and I think they're going to Boston Market, and I'm not a big fan). So they left for lunch close to 1:45. by the time they get back it will be about 3. I'm thinking of asking if I can skip my lunch hour (I have some food at my desk) and just get the hour paid. It won't be overtime as I didn't work Tuesday and I'm not working tomorrow. and if I take lunch at 3, I get back at 4, have to leave my upstairs desk at 4:30, it just doesn't seem worth the effort. I'd rather have the $10. I was just going to read over lunch anyway, and the cafeteria where I normally go to read closes at 3.

and earlier this morning I found out that one of the government managers is no longer working here (not that THEY told me, a coworker overheard something and informed me after I told someone that he still worked here!)

oh, and more on my interesting day. I found out today that this girl I used to work with at my old job is leaving. it was kind of...not really wholly her decision. the boss was helping her look for work. not really a surprise that she's leaving, just that I learned about it on the same day as this other thing.

crazy!

Movie Reviews

This past weekend my sisters and I decided to rent some movies. Blockbuster was having a deal, rent 3 for $9.99. It was nice because then we each got to pick a movie.

My choice was Hoodwinked. This movie turned out to be better than I expected it. For me, it was funny on many different levels. Things I found funny probably wouldn't be as funny to other people. (Reporter to the cops: "I was raised by wolves" On the evil leader's clip board was written "Evil Plan") If you are in the mood for a light funny movie - doesn't require much thinking - this is a great movie!

My younger sister's choice was Nanny McPhee. Based on a series of British childrens books, it seemed a cross between Mary Poppins and Mrs. Piggle Wiggle (for those of you who have read those). I liked it a lot. The set and costumes were an interesting array of colors that I found intriguing. And I just enjoyed the movie. It's not as light hearted as Hoodwinked. I would recommend this movie for anyone who likes fairy tales.

My older sister's choice was Walk the Line. I highly recommend this movie. It is in no way light hearted. This is a pretty intense movie following the life of Johnny Cash. I must say that Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon did excellent jobs. And Joaquin's ability to imitate Johnny Cash was amazing. I never have been a big Johnny Cash fan, but have heard quite a few of his songs (who hasn't). I'm contemplating going to purchase the sound track.
